LET'S PLAY RUFF LLC - PET SITTING / DOG WALKING SERVICE AGREEMENT
This Service Agreement ("Agreement") is made by and between Let's Play Ruff LLC ("Service Provider") and the Client ("Pet Owner"), outlining the terms and conditions under which Let's Play Ruff LLC will provide pet care services.
1. Insurance
Let's Play Ruff LLC is fully insured and bonded for the safety of your pet and property. Our insurance provider is Business Insurers of the Carolinas, and the coverage is specifically tailored for pet care services. A copy of the insurance policy is available upon request.
2. Safety for Pets and Pet Sitters
Let's Play Ruff LLC and its contracted staff will not be responsible for any animal(s) that instigate fights with other animals or are injured by another animal while under our care. We will take appropriate actions to ensure your animal(s) are not placed in the company of aggressive or violent animals and will immediately remove your animal(s) from any altercations.
The Client understands that pets are instinctual in nature and sometimes may not be controllable, even with the highest level of care. The Client agrees that Let's Play Ruff LLC will not be liable for injury or escape if an animal runs away or is injured while in our care, unless caused by gross negligence, reckless behavior, or intentional misconduct.
3. Off-Leash Dog(s)
For clients requesting off-leash dog activities, the Client acknowledges and agrees that pets may be off-leash only in designated dog parks or other legally permitted areas at the Client's request.
The Client accepts responsibility for the risks associated with off-leash activity and agrees not to hold Let's Play Ruff LLC or its staff liable for damages resulting from the pet being off-leash, except as otherwise required by law.
4. Pet Behavior and Temperament
Let's Play Ruff LLC reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service to pets that show signs of aggressive, dangerous, or unmanageable behavior.
If, in our professional judgment, a pet's behavior poses a threat to the safety of the sitter/walker, another person, another animal, or the pet itself, services may be terminated immediately. The Client remains responsible for payment for the scheduled service.
Clients are responsible for providing complete and accurate information regarding any history of aggression, biting, reactivity, escape behavior, or other behavioral concerns.
5. Client Home Care Needs
Let's Play Ruff LLC is not responsible for wilted, dead, or unhealthy plants or for damage to the Client's home resulting from circumstances outside our control, including electrical problems, plumbing problems, leaks, or similar household issues.
Clients are responsible for pet-proofing the home and yard and for ensuring that fences, gates, doors, locks, and other containment systems are secure and in proper working condition.
Let's Play Ruff LLC is not responsible for pet injuries or disappearance resulting from unsecured or defective areas of the Client's property, except as otherwise required by law.
6. Liability for Damages Caused by Pet
The Client is responsible for damages or injuries caused by their pet(s) to property, other pets, or any person, including injury to a pet sitter/walker or other individual.
In the event of injury or damage caused by the Client's pet(s), the Client agrees to be responsible for resulting medical expenses, legal fees, and associated costs to the extent permitted by law.
The Client further agrees to indemnify and hold Let's Play Ruff LLC harmless from claims, liabilities, or damages arising from the actions of their pet(s), to the extent permitted by applicable law.
7. Accidents and Cleaning Responsibility
Let's Play Ruff LLC is not responsible for normal pet-related accidents that may occur in the home during pet sitting or dog walking services, including urine, feces, vomiting, or similar incidents.
Our staff will make reasonable efforts to clean pet-related accidents when appropriate cleaning supplies are available. Clients should provide and clearly identify cleaning supplies they would like used.
8. Veterinary Release
By accepting this Agreement, the Client authorizes Let's Play Ruff LLC to seek emergency veterinary care for their pet when reasonably necessary, including transporting the pet to the Client's designated veterinarian or, when circumstances require, the nearest available veterinary clinic.
Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the Client and/or emergency contact. If they cannot be reached, the Client authorizes Let's Play Ruff LLC to obtain veterinary treatment reasonably believed necessary for the pet's health and safety.
All veterinary treatment and related costs are the Client's responsibility.
9. Pet Medical History and Special Requirements
The Client agrees to provide accurate and complete information regarding their pet's medical history, medications, allergies, medical conditions, behavioral issues, and special care requirements.
Clients are responsible for keeping this information current in the Client Portal.
10. Payment and Cancellation Policies
Payment: Invoices are issued weekly and are due by Saturday. Payment may be made by cash, check, Venmo, or credit card through the Client Portal.
Credit-card payments are subject to a 3% processing fee.
A valid credit card must be kept securely on file in the Client Portal in order to schedule services. Keeping a credit card on file does not mean it will automatically be charged unless the Client has automatic processing enabled or the invoice becomes three days past due.
Late Payments: A $5 late fee will be added if an invoice remains unpaid on Sunday following its Saturday due date. If the invoice remains unpaid three days after the Saturday due date, the credit card on file may be charged for the outstanding balance, late fee, and applicable credit-card processing fee.
Scheduling: All service requests, changes, and cancellations must be submitted through the Client Portal. Requests made within 36 hours of the requested service are subject to a $5 last-minute fee and are subject to availability.
If the office must manually enter a service request on behalf of the Client, a $1 administrative fee per visit may apply.
Cancellation Policies:
Daily Dog Walking and regular Cat Visits require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellation.
Vacation Walks/Visits require at least 72 hours' notice from the first scheduled service date.
Weekend and holiday reservations require at least 72 hours' notice.
Pet Sitting cancellations:
- 20 or more days' notice: Full refund
- 14-19 days' notice: 50% refund
- 7 or fewer days' notice: No refund
For early returns or late departures, the Client remains responsible for the full reserved service period. No refund or reduction will be provided for unused reserved time.
11. Supplies and Expenses
If necessary pet supplies, food, medication, or other essential items need to be purchased or replenished during service, the Client agrees to reimburse Let's Play Ruff LLC for the cost of those items and any applicable service or transportation fee.
If a prescription must be refilled, the Client is responsible for arranging or authorizing the refill whenever possible. Receipts will be provided for reimbursable purchases.
12. Pet Sitting Duration, Key Access, and Security
Key Access: The Client will provide a working key, lockbox, garage-door opener, or access code as necessary to enter the home.
Let's Play Ruff LLC will take reasonable measures to keep keys and access information secure and will not label keys in a manner that readily identifies the Client's home.
Upon request, keys may be returned through Client pickup, certified mail, or hand delivery. A $15 key delivery/return fee applies when Let's Play Ruff LLC is required to deliver or return a key.
The Client is responsible for costs associated with additional or replacement keys when necessary.
Pet Sitting Duration: Services are based on the dates and times reserved. Early return or late departure does not reduce the amount due for the reserved service period.
Security: Clients are responsible for securing their home before departure. Let's Play Ruff LLC will take reasonable steps to secure the property upon completion of each visit.
13. Confidentiality and Privacy
Let's Play Ruff LLC respects the privacy and confidentiality of its clients. Personal information and pet information will not be shared or disclosed without authorization except as reasonably necessary to provide services, process payments, address an emergency, or comply with applicable law.
14. Force Majeure
Let's Play Ruff LLC will not be responsible for failure or delay in performing services caused by circumstances reasonably beyond our control, including severe weather, natural disasters, government actions, road closures, emergencies, or other uncontrollable events.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.
In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter through mediation or, if necessary and legally enforceable, binding arbitration. Legal fees may be awarded to the prevailing party where permitted by law.
16. Emergency Contact Information
Clients must provide current emergency contact information through the Client Portal and are responsible for keeping this information updated throughout the duration of services.
17. Solicitation of Let's Play Ruff LLC Staff
The Client agrees not to directly solicit Let's Play Ruff LLC staff for pet sitting, dog walking, boarding, or other pet-care services outside of Let's Play Ruff LLC.
Acceptance
By accepting this Agreement, the Client confirms that they have read, understand, and agree to the terms and conditions above.
This Agreement applies to all pets owned by the Client and all locations designated by the Client for services provided by Let's Play Ruff LLC.
Vet Release
VET RELEASE
By accepting this agreement, I authorize Let's Play Ruff LLC to seek veterinary care for my pet(s) when reasonably necessary during scheduled services.
Let's Play Ruff LLC will make reasonable efforts to contact me and/or my emergency contact before obtaining veterinary treatment. If I cannot be reached and my pet requires urgent or emergency care, I authorize Let's Play Ruff LLC to transport my pet to my designated veterinarian or, when circumstances require, the nearest available veterinary clinic or emergency veterinary hospital.
I authorize the veterinarian to provide treatment reasonably believed necessary for my pet's health and safety. I understand that all veterinary treatment, medications, transportation, and related expenses are my responsibility, and I agree to reimburse Let's Play Ruff LLC for any such expenses it pays on my behalf.
If necessary food, medication, or other essential pet supplies run out during my scheduled services, I authorize Let's Play Ruff LLC to obtain necessary supplies when reasonably possible. I am responsible for the cost of those supplies and any applicable service or transportation fees.
I understand that Let's Play Ruff LLC cannot guarantee the outcome of veterinary treatment and is not responsible for decisions or treatment provided by a veterinarian.
By accepting this Vet Release, I confirm that I authorize Let's Play Ruff LLC to act in accordance with the terms above when reasonably necessary for the health and safety of my pet(s).
Key/Garage Door Opener or Code Release Agreement
By accepting this agreement, I authorize Let's Play Ruff LLC to possess and use the key(s), garage door opener, lockbox information, alarm information, and/or access code(s) I provide for the purpose of performing scheduled pet-care services.
I authorize Let's Play Ruff LLC to provide necessary keys or access information to authorized Let's Play Ruff staff members as needed to perform scheduled services.
Let's Play Ruff LLC will take reasonable measures to keep keys and access information secure. Keys will not be labeled in a manner that readily identifies my name or home address.
I authorize Let's Play Ruff LLC to make a copy of my key when reasonably necessary to provide scheduled services. I understand that I am responsible for costs associated with additional or replacement keys when applicable.
Let's Play Ruff LLC may retain my key between services with my permission. If I request that my key be returned, I may pick it up from Let's Play Ruff LLC or request another available return method.
A $15 key delivery/return fee applies when Let's Play Ruff LLC is required to hand-deliver or pick up a key. If I request that a key be returned by certified mail or another shipping method, I am responsible for the applicable shipping costs.
I understand that I am responsible for providing working keys, access codes, garage door openers, alarm instructions, and other information necessary for Let's Play Ruff LLC to access my home for scheduled services.
By accepting this agreement, I authorize Let's Play Ruff LLC and its authorized staff to access my property as reasonably necessary to perform the pet-care services I have requested.
