Client Contract
LET’S PLAY RUFF LLC – PET SITTING / DOG WALKING SERVICE AGREEMENT
This Service Agreement (“Agreement”) is made by and between Let's Play Ruff LLC ("Service Provider") and the Client (“Pet Owner”), outlining the terms and conditions under which Let's Play Ruff LLC will provide pet care services.

1. INSURANCE
Let's Play Ruff LLC is fully insured and bonded for the safety of your pet and property. Our insurance provider is Business Insurers of the Carolinas, and the coverage is specifically tailored for pet care services. A copy of the insurance policy is available upon request.

2. SAFETY FOR PETS AND PET SITTERS
Let's Play Ruff LLC and its contracted staff will not be responsible for any animal(s) that instigate fights with other animals or are injured by another animal while under our care. We will take appropriate actions to ensure your animal(s) are not placed in the company of aggressive or violent animals and will immediately remove your animal(s) from any altercations.

The Client understands that pets are instinctual in nature and sometimes may not be controllable, even with the highest level of care. Let's Play Ruff LLC will not be liable for any injury or escape if an animal runs away or is injured while in our care, unless it is due to gross negligence, reckless behavior, or intentional misconduct.

3. OFF-LEASH DOG(S)
For clients requesting off-leash dog activities, the Client acknowledges and agrees that pets may be off-leash only in the client’s fenced backyard or in designated legal dog areas to maximize exercise and play. The Client assumes all responsibility if their dog runs away or gets injured during off-leash activities and agrees not to hold Let's Play Ruff LLC or its staff liable for any damages.

4. PET BEHAVIOR AND TEMPERAMENT
Let's Play Ruff LLC reserves the right to refuse service to pets that show signs of aggressive, dangerous, or unmanageable behavior. If, in our professional judgment, a pet’s behavior poses a threat to the safety of the sitter, other animals, or the pet itself, we may terminate services immediately. Payment for the booked time will still apply.

5. CLIENT HOME CARE NEEDS
Let's Play Ruff LLC is not responsible for wilted, dead, or unhealthy plants, or for any damage to your home due to issues beyond our control, including electrical problems or leaks. Clients are responsible for pet-proofing inside the home and ensuring the yard, fences, and gates are secure. Let's Play Ruff LLC is not liable for any pet injuries or disappearance caused by unsecured outdoor areas.

6. LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES CAUSED BY PET
The Client is fully responsible for any damages caused by their pet(s) to property, other pets, or any person. This includes injury to a pet sitter or other individuals. The Client agrees to cover any resulting medical expenses, legal fees, and associated costs, and to indemnify Let's Play Ruff LLC from any claims, liabilities, or damages arising from their pet(s).

7. ACCIDENTS IN THE HOME
Let's Play Ruff LLC is not responsible for any accidents (urine, feces, vomiting, etc.) that may occur in the home. While we make every effort to clean up after your pet, accidents can happen.

If additional cleaning is required beyond normal care, the Client will be responsible for the cost plus any specialized cleaning fees. Please provide or clearly mark any cleaning products you prefer us to use. If no instructions are provided, Let's Play Ruff LLC will use its discretion but will not be liable for any damage caused by cleaning products.

8. VET RELEASE
By agreeing to this contract, the Client authorizes Let's Play Ruff LLC to seek emergency veterinary care if necessary, including transporting the pet to the closest veterinary clinic. If the Client cannot be reached, the veterinarian will treat the pet as needed, and all related costs will be the Client's responsibility.

9. PET MEDICAL HISTORY AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
The Client agrees to provide accurate and complete information regarding their pet’s medical history, allergies, medical conditions, medications, and behavioral issues.

10. PAYMENT POLICY / CANCELLATION POLICIES
Payment Methods:
Payment is due prior to the scheduled service. Let's Play Ruff LLC accepts cash, checks, Venmo, and credit card payments via the Client Portal (small convenience fee applies for credit card).

Late Fee:
An additional $5 late fee applies if the invoice is not paid within 7 days of the service date.

Daily Dog Walking:

Weekdays: 24-hour cancellation notice required

Weekends & Holidays: 72-hour cancellation notice required
If cancelled after the allotted time, full payment is required.

Vacation Visits:

72-hour cancellation notice required from the date of the first scheduled service
If cancelled after the allotted time, full payment is required.

Pet Sitting (In Your Home or Our Home):

20+ days’ notice: Full deposit refunded

14–19 days’ notice: 50% of deposit refunded

7 or fewer days’ notice: No refund; deposit is non-refundable

Last-Minute Booking Fee:

Dog walking requests made less than 36 hours in advance will be charged a $5 last-minute request fee.

Rescheduling & Cancellations Within 24 Hours:
Appointments cannot be moved or rescheduled within 24 hours of the scheduled time. Any change requested inside this window is considered a cancellation and will be charged in full.

Early Return or Late Departure:
Clients are required to pay for the full reservation time even if they return earlier or leave later than expected. No refund or reduction in fees will be made for early returns or late departures.

Holiday Policies:

Holiday visits have a $20 surcharge per visit.

All holiday and holiday-weekend walks/visits are 20 minutes only.

Dog Walking Holidays:
Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Easter & Easter weekend, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Memorial Day weekend (all 3 days), Juneteenth, Fourth of July (and weekend if Fri/Mon), Labor Day weekend (all 3 days), Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday weekend, Presidents Day, Veteran’s Day weekend (if Fri/Mon).

Pet Sitting Holidays (In Our Home or Yours):
NJ Winter Break (Sat before Christmas–Jan 1), Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day, Presidents Weekend, NJ Spring Break, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Juneteenth, MLK Day, Easter & Easter weekend, Memorial Day weekend (all 3 days), Fourth of July week (Sun–Sun), Labor Day weekend (all 3 days), Veteran’s Day weekend (if Fri/Mon), Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday weekend.

11. SUPPLIES AND EXPENSES
If supplies (food, medication, etc.) need to be restocked, the Client will reimburse Let's Play Ruff LLC for the purchase plus a $50 service fee. If a prescription needs to be refilled, the Client must call it in or arrange the refill. Receipts will be provided.

12. PET SITTING DURATION, KEY ACCESS, AND SECURITY
Key Access: The Client will provide a key or access code to their home. Keys will be kept secure and not labeled in a way that could identify the home. If returned by certified mail or hand delivery, a $10 fee applies.

Duration: Pet sitting is based on the scheduled reservation time. Early returns or late departures do not reduce fees.

Security: Clients are responsible for securing their home before departure. Let's Play Ruff LLC will take reasonable steps to secure the property after each visit.

13. CONFIDENTIALITY AND PRIVACY
Let's Play Ruff LLC will not share personal or pet information without the Client’s consent, except as required to perform services or comply with law.

14. FORCE MAJEURE
Let's Play Ruff LLC is not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, government actions, or other uncontrollable events.

15. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the state of New Jersey. Disputes will be resolved through mediation or binding arbitration if necessary.

16. EMERGENCY CONTACT DETAILS
Clients must keep emergency contacts updated in the Client Portal.

17. SOLICITATION OF LET’S PLAY RUFF LLC STAFF
Clients agree not to solicit Let's Play Ruff LLC staff directly for pet sitting or dog walking services outside the company.

By accepting this agreement, the Client confirms they have read and fully understand the terms and conditions outlined above. This agreement applies to all pets owned by the Client and all locations designated for pet sitting or walking services.



Vet Release
Let's Play Ruff LLC VETERINARIAN RELEASE FORM:
I hereby authorize Let's Play Ruff LLC to bring my pet(s) to veterinary hospital,
and to have medical care provided for whatever treatment may be required as
determined by client. In an emergency, if client can not be reached, medical treatment will be determined by veterinarian.

Pet Illness/Veterinary Care/Restocking supplies
Client is aware and agrees to the medical costs of any fees should they arise from animal(s) being ill or otherwise needing veterinary care. Client agrees to pay Let's Play Ruff LLC the sum of $50/per hour should the sitter need to take the pet(s) to vet. If the sitter needs to restock supplies that the Client agrees to provide but that are not provided at the time of the sit (such as medication, administration treats/tools, recovery aids, etc), client agrees to pay the cost of the product(s) and the Let's Play Ruff LLC service fee of $50. A receipt will be given for any costs.

By accepting and agreeing to the terms, I assume all financial responsibility upon my return for payment of all services rendered. If the clients preferred veterinarian is not available for any reason or if the emergency should happen after normal office hours, I authorize my pet sitter to take my pet(s) to the nearest 24 hour emergency veterinary clinic which can assist my pet in receiving medical care and treatment.

Key / Garage Door Opener or Code Release Agreement
By accepting these terms, I agree:
Let's Play Ruff has my permission to make copies of my key(s) for emergency / backup needs per the company's discretion.
I am aware that Let's Play Ruff will not label my key(s) in any way that will make them identifiable. All safety measures will be taken to ensure the key(s) have no marks identifying that the key(s) belong to my home with the exception of possibly labeling them with my pet's name(s).
Let's Play Ruff may keep possession of my key(s) until I decide to terminate services.
I am aware that Let's Play Ruff may give my key(s) to its independent contractor(s) or employee(s) as a means to provide pet care. By accepting this agreement, I agree that all of the Let's Play Ruff staff members shall be covered by this agreement.
Let's Play Ruff agrees to return the key(s) via client pickup, certified mail or by hand delivering it to me as requested.

Keys can be picked up from Let's Play Ruff or hand delivered to client for a service fee of
$15.00. If client chooses to have key sent by certified mail, client is responsible for all shipping costs.
